Hey guys….

I know. I ran away, absconded, abandoned my blog fam and all the other evil things a ‘blogger’ can do.

I’m sorry. Baby girl has been job hunting! Looking for work is exhausting and tiring. I have been at home for 2 months now without a job (I mean, other than doing laundry till my skin peels from too much exposure to detergent and cooking to the point that I believe I am now ready for marriage as per Nigerian local standards) and it is not funny fam. It is not funny at all.

When I do get a job, I will probably do a CV/ Job hunting kinda series. But since my CV has not succeeded, that is on hold. I have learnt so much though in these two month about writing CVs and selling my market. Let me tell you a secret. I HATE WRITING MOTIVATION STATEMENTS.

I feel so much better now that I’ve said it.😎

In the meantime, I have finished the first draft for my NYSC Experience book. It’s going to be a small ebook on my life during service year. I have had fun writing it. It felt good to remember some of the incidents and accidents that happened during service year.

Are you job hunting? Have you had to go through an unemployed phase before? This is my first time. I don’t think I’m doing so well. At a point, I was so discouraged. I would look at other people’s CVs and cringe at my rather empty CV. I’ve stopped cringing though.

Prolonged job hunting can mess with you. You begin to feel like maybe you really aren’t good enough as evidenced by your lack of a job. And of course, you add weight. Gain a few KGs here and there from doing nothing!

I’m here to say Hang In There.

That’s what I’ve been saying to myself and it has helped.

In other news, we are going back to being a free site. This is literally taking two steps backwards but I’m doing it. I went paid because I was beginning to consider monetizing my blog but consistency is something that I have not been able to achieve and maintain. I would be lying to myself and you guys if I said I had time or even the strength to be a full-time blogger. Not now anyway. It is still a hobby and for now, let’s keep it that way.

Did I mention? I cut my hair. Major life changes and all. I’m unemployed for a week and I react by cutting my hair. It is so funny now I think about it. I cut it then I dyed brown. Lol.

It wasn’t so long but….

… We went from this…
… To this. I keep it lower than this. And it’s brownish now.

Have a great day friends. Thanks for being here. I’m most grateful.
