Hello y’all! Happy Sunday! It’s bright and the sun is shining, what a time to be alive! It’s amazing, yes yes?

Bar Finals has started!

MCQ was on Friday. I wanted to say something here but I was too tired. 100 questions in 60 minutes and so many scenarios but Blessed be the name of the Lord! I was able to finish! I’m so grateful to God for that small mercy, you know? But that’s not the gist.

So after the paper, which ended about 15 minutes past 8pm (trust me, story for another day! I will definitely talk about it), I went to get food at Mammy and I saw a friend of mine. In a good mood and all, I decided to say hi.

While we were at it, he asked what I was doing ‘tonight’ and asked me to come to Lovito’s (this small bar/club opposite my school). I was too tired so I declined but that’s not the gist.

The gist is that he asked me to come so that he could get me ‘fucked up'(sorry, no censors).

Now, trust me. I know he didn’t mean anything sinister. Dude is a nice guy and all but seriously? Let me get you fucked up? Where are we? The caves?

Trust me, I’m not naive. I know things I probably should not know but it is never, ever, ever classy to be vulgar! One guy once told me to be mature and stop being so naive because I told him not to swear around me! Like, a sign of maturity is cursing in every sentence.

Like Queen Latifa said in Joyful Noise (great movie), swearing is cheap and it’s easy but it has no class! Anybody can do it. It will never be classy! Never evuh!

So, there. I tell all my guys to try and be clean in speech. I mean, it might fly in once in a while but can we please, just stay classy?

Thank you!

If you read this T, no offence intended. 😘

  1. I was surprised when i saw all the swearing at first lol. I think its unnecessary exposure to all these people that think they’re cool. After-all even the so called celebrities we look up to as classy use swear words a lot. Paul in Ephesians 4:29-30 said: β€œDo not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to the needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” We all know how unwholesome swearing can be. Sorry I had to go gospel on this one lol but yeah, Preach!!!

    Good read as usual.
